Show Summary: In a new twist on the ever popular singing competition format, “Rising Star” allows the audience to have the final say in real time. As the hopefuls perform live, they are able to see how the home audience is responding to them via a voting app, adding a new level of drama to the proceedings. When the voting reaches a certain threshold, the contestants get the go ahead to move on to the next stage. Singer/songwriter Josh Groban hosts, with Brad Paisley, Ke$ha and Ludacris making up the panel of experts.
