I find it a little hard to believe these asswipes didn’t know RVD was in TNA, and I find their poor acting on the subject very patronizing. This is the second time I have tried to watch the Smackdown after-show (I watch the Raw & PPV afters regularly) and this has a very “throw-away” or “Maria owes these two major favors” feel to it. I may give this another try a little while down the road, but it won’t be soon.

Great show. Good on you for getting Steve Austin to drop in. Little Egypt has been a great addition to the show. I hope she sticks around. She did a really good job interviewing Austin.
Thought it was funny that Austin mentioned that the drive is what kept him from doing this aftershow before now. Might be time to move the world hq of Afterbuzz TV a little closer to the coastline, in order to get more A-level guests. Yes, I realize that this is easier said than done and that I’m not the one who has to write the check to make it happen.

I respect Cena for what he’s accomplished and I admire that he’s a good Samaritan. I think his character could go with an adjustment. I respect Austin’s opinion, but I think he did a better job for the company. My opinion.

RVD left WWE in April 2007 when his contract expired. He chose not to renew cause of the direction that the ECW brand was going that he wrestled for. At the same time, his wife Sonja, was battling breast cancer which thankfully she survived. He was a surprise entrant in the 2009 Royal Rumble. In March 2010 he resurfaced in TNA Wrestling. He signed a 3 year deal. He didn’t like how he was being used. His contract expired and the company didn’t know it. Then, he came back home of course.
